Kill La Kill Episode 5: Trigger

There are two useful pieces of information you need to know about Mako.

One: she will always take a beating

Two: she will always has a speech in each episode.

I like this episode, we got a lot of information and we finally meet that guy from the opening. The episode starts off with Tsumugu Kinagase coming to Honnouji Academy to take out Senketsu. Once Kinagase makes it to the school he has to fight a two star Goku uniform and he beat it pretty easy. Kinagase uses a sewing gun that fires needles that slow down Goku uniform.

Ryuko at this time is save Mako again from another club we see that Ryuko is beating these guys pretty easily and she is getting stronger with each fight. This is where Kinagase attack Ryuko and Mako. He freezes Mako so she won’t get hurt and beat Ryuko. The only reason why he stops his attack is because of the homeroom teacher. Kinagase tell Ryuko he will be backing tomorrow form the suit.

Kinagase meets with the homeroom teacher and we learn that he is a nudist (I’m guessing its group of people that don’t want to use the life fibers). He does not use a goku uniform. He lost someone to the goku uniform and does not trust them ever since.

This is the first time one of the four elites will be trying to take out Kinagase and Ryuko. She sends out 3 clubs to take them out.  This leads to an all-out fight with Ryuko taking a beating, mostly because of Kinagase. The episode really gets good once Kinagase pushes Ryuko too her limit and get her into a corner. Senketsu tries to protect Ryuko and because of this, he changes Kinagase mind and save the day. We see Ryuko and Senketsu bond getting stronger. We also see Kinagase leaving. We all know he will come back, we just don’t know when. I’m guessing episode 8.

This got me thinking, do you think we will get a Gurren Lagann Episode 8 in Kill La kill. it would be awesome if they do something crazy in episode 8 and whatever anime they are working on they always make episode 8 something crazy and memorable.

Kill La Kill Episode 4: Dawn of Miserable Morning

This was a very fun episode of Kill La Kill. The animation could have been better and very weird at times, but it worked. This episode is very simple Ryuko and Mako has to get to their homeroom class before 8:30 or else they are expelled. The only problem is that the whole town is full of traps, slowing down all of the students.

The episode starts off with Senketsu getting clean and it looks like he is in pain, for the most part. Ryuko has to go to school without Senketsu.  Once Senketsu is clean Mako’s dad, brother and dog will bring it to Ryuko.

Ryuko and Mako as they are making their way through the town they meet Maiko, a girl that is hurt and wants to get to school too. Maiko joins Ryuko and Mako as they try to get to school. They become friends, until Maiko reveals her true motives.  When Maiko does, this we learn two things Senketsu won’t hurt Ryuko and Gamagoori is loyal to Satsuki.

I like Maiko and I hope we see her again, she is a good character.

Breastfeeding women, sure why not? i just had to point this out, just like the dogs banging in episode 2.

My favorite moment of the episode is Gamagoori on the cable car, it just kills me every time.

Kill La Kill Episode 3: Junketsu

I just want to say thank you to Studio Trigger for making this anime. I love this episode it was unreal! Just this episode alone, I am buying series once it could out in the USA.

We find out that Satsuki has a Goku uniform just like Ryuko. These uniforms are called Kamui. She put it on for the first time. Satsuki Kamui is called Junketsu and it has 2 eyes. Now Satsuki is ready for Ryuko tomorrow.

 We skip to Ryuko that following around Mikisugi, because she want information from him. They do meet and we learn about connect between him and Ryuko’s father. Mikisugi played the role of the person to make sure Ryuko gets Senketsu. Mikisugi worked with Ryuko’s father. Mikisugi also talks about the Life fiber and how much are in each level of suits. The more Life fibers the suits have the stronger they are. Now we skip to the sewing club trying to make a 5 star suit. the suit fails because they person wearing the suit can not control it. I believe this part will be important later.

Now we skip to the next day where Satsuki is waiting for Ryuko. This is where we get an awesome battle between the two characters. The point of this fight was to show Ryuko that she was wearing Senketsu wrong, because she has to be naked first. This is where we got a new transformation from Ryuko and where the fight real did remind me of Gurren Lagann, Ryuko keep pushing her limits and getting stronger. Satsuki after see Ryuko true power, she calls it a day. Then tell Ryuko if she wants to fight her she has to go through the whole school to get to her, because starting tomorrow. The students will be going after her.

So the next episode sounds awesome. I can’t wait but there one think after watching the opening again, who is this guy???

Kill La Kill Episode 2: So Sexy, I’m Gonna Faint.

What am I watching, Kill La Kill is really something else and everyone should be watching this show. It is really good.

This episode starts off right where the last one ended. Ryuko’s has to leave because if she keeps of fighting she would faint due do the Goku taking too much of her blood. She faints after leaving the school and wakes up with Mako’s family.  We learn that Mako dad is a back ally doctor.

We also learn the name of Ryuko’s Goku, Senketsu and what happen during the time she got attack by him, under her house. We also learn the Senketsu was made by Ryuko’s father.  

Skip to the next day where we see two dogs banging. Why, i wish i could answer that. it made me laugh.

We get few interesting points of how the structure of the city works, the top tier student live on the upper part of the city and the lower tier students live at the lower part of the city. This is where we meet the leader of the tennis club; she was given a 2 star uniform to beat Ryuko. Ryuko try to get senketsu to wake up, but it would not work. This is where we meet Aikuro Mikisugi (the homeroom teacher), for some reason we get a strip show from him. Mikisugi give Ryuko a glove that will make senketsu wake up.

We get round 2 with Ryuko and the Tennis leader, this fight was very original again, but ending where we get see a taste of Satsuki power and her sword. To me it does not look like a scissor.

Points

You don’t need a Goku uniform to be strong, Satsuki power comes from her sword and herself?

Why is Ryuko an exchange student if, to me looks like she lives in the same town, or did she live outside of 

town.

Are they always going to beat mako in each episode?

this show has fan service for both guys and girls

Kill La Kill Episode 1: If Only I Had Thorns Like a Thistle

Kamina’s spirit reborn.   That what comes to mind as I watch the first episode of Kill la Kill. Ryuko reminds me of Kamina just madder. Overall I did like this anime and I thought it was funny.  I like how the animation reflects Gurren Lagann and they try to have a Grant scale as Gurren Lagann.  They did make an interesting world for the most part.

The story is pretty simple, it’s a revenge story.  Ryuko Matio lost her father from an unknown killer. The Killer took half of a scissor blade and she has the other half. This leads her to the Honnoji Academy where we meet most of the cast.  As the story goes on Ryuko Matio, believes the person that has the other scissor blade is Satsuk Kiryuin the Student council president.

The powers in Kill la Kill are not from weapons or mechs, but from Uniforms called Goku.  Very original idea and I got into it. The Uniforms the broken down to 3 star levels the more stars a Uniforms has the stronger the uniforms is.  You could say it the uniforms are just like the mechs in Gurren Lagann, and the main character has a special one. Matio’s uniforms did look like it absorbs the loser uniform at the end of the fight.

Points

The villain structure was much like Gurren Lagann, Leader 4 generals and army, just in a school theme.

The fight of overall well done, and awesome.

I did not like Mako, she talk too much and way too fast.

Matio’s Goku transform into a very skimpy sailor suit, I guess all anime need some kind of fan services.

Is the homeroom teacher a friend of Matio father?

I like this episode and I can’t wait for the next one.

Dragonball Z: Battle of Gods

The Dragonball Z battle of God was sub not too long ago and I decided to watch it. I enjoy this movie, it’s the not greatest DBZ movie, but it’s good and very nostalgic for me. It was awesome see everyone again. Everyone does fight in this movie.  Seeing Mystic Gohan and Saiyaman was my favourite part in the movie. if you are a fan of DBZ  check this movie out you will not be disappointed.

The overall story of movie is pretty simple Bills wake up has a dream about Super Saiyan God, this makes Bills go to Earth to find this Super Saiyan God.  This leads to most of the funny moments of the movie, until Goku shows up and fights Bills. Bills design is very original, and it fits for the style of DBZ. He is one of the most goof villains, and most powerful too. Very care free until he gets annoyed.

I really enjoy this movie and they did left it open for make more movies. I personally would like to see a new movie every 2 to 3 year adding on to this story of Gods. I think this has a lot of potential to end DBZ is a very original way. Check it out I left a link to the trailer and to the movie below.

!!!!!Super Saiyan God Mode Theory, Spoiler!!!!

In the movie Goku needed 5 Saiyans to go SSG (Super Saiyan God Mode), but I believe that we only got a taste of SSG and Goku only gone SSG for only 10 to 15 minutes, so I think it was more of a Super Saiyans power up, not the next level.  Remember the time when Vegeta think he has gone SS in the fight with Frieza, but he was just strong. I think it’s just Akira Toriyama teasing us. He has done it before, and SSG was the main focus of the movie and we only got 10 to 15 minutes of it? So I think there is more to be seen

Shaman King Volume 9 Voyage of the Shaman

Chapter 72 to 80

This volume had few cool fights, one of the most action packed volumes so far and a very cool beginner to a new adventure.

The volumes start off with Yoh Freeing Ren and Jun. Ren tells Yoh why he needs to defeat his father. So they make their way to Ryu and Horohoro. Ryu and Horohoro got there ass handed then by this new Zombie. This zombie is Sha-wen, Bilong’s Master (we met him in volume 2). Sha-wen gave Ren and Yoh a hard time, until Bilong and Jun come in and kick his ass. This fight was awesome I do like Bilong Fighting style. Bilong and Jun beat Sha-wen and they make their way to Yuan at the top of the tower.

Yuan comes crashing down right in front of Yoh and the other; this is where the fight begins. Yuan is a big man. Ryu and Horohoro each cut off Yuan’s arms. Then Yuan regenerate his arm and counter attacks. Yuan goes on a rampage beating Yoh Bilong, Ryu and Horohoro, leaving Ren alone. Ren attack with his rapid strike and rip Yuan body apart, and then he would regenerate and counter. Each time he beat Ren and his Friends down they would just get back up. Showing him that friends are not what makes him weak but stronger. Yuan does not understand and this is why Yuan loses at the end. Ren and the guys did not really beat him the physical, but in spiritly. This is where the big Yuan breaks into hundreds spirit flames and we see Ren Father true form. This is the first time Ren and Jun see his true form. He look even scary than before.

Yuan uses his ultimate attack (dragon with all of his ancestor’s spirit flames), Ren gets a new over soul. Ren grandfather and mother stop Yuan and this ends the fight. We learn about why Yuan is the way he is and it very understandable, because he has been betrayed by his so called friends. This is the end of this story Ren goes and trains before the next round. Yoh, Ryu, Horohoro and Manta go back to japan. Ren is riding his horse and his father shows up and gives him Baolei sword there family’s most precious heirloom. Yuan also said good luck too Ren, leaving on good terms.

This is how the Arc about Ren family ends and I enjoy it, we learned a lot of Ren and his family. Yuan design was very cool.

The last few chapters has Horohoro Yoh and Ryu say goodbye to their loved ones, because they cannot come with them to the next round. Yoh Horohoro and Ryu meet Ren at the meeting place and this is where we see A LOT of new characters.

We meet Hao, and his spirit (fire spirit). He shows off his power and he has a crew with him, the only members that we have seen before are the Boz brother from the last volume. He tells Yoh and the others that he will become the next shaman king and this starts a fight and this guy is strong. Hao looks like Yoh, and Hao knows a lot about everyone, it’s very weird. How does he know this?

After this little fight we see Goldva and the other patch members and a big jet. They tell everyone to get on and the rest of the shaman fight with be held in the USA at the Patch village. So they do. Hao knew what was going to happen on this flight. During the Flight just over the USA, Goldva comes on and tell all of the Shamans that they have 3 months to find the Patch village. Then the plane disappears and everyone starts to fall. Now everyone beside Yoh Ren Ryu and Horohoro just used their Spirits to fall to the ground. Yoh and his crew had to use all of their mana to land safely and this is where the volume ended. yoh and his crew does not know where they are or where they have to go, but this will be interesting to see what will happen next.
